In spring–summer 2025, three interdisciplinary research groups — made up of faculty and researchers from the Italian partner institutions — began the project's theoretical phase, each producing a position paper: a state-of-the-art essay accompanied by an annotated bibliography. These texts formed the conceptual foundation for all subsequent phases of the project, from →︎ the Summer School to the production of the works in the exhibition held across GAMeC, Palazzo della Libertà and Politecnico delle Arti – Accademia G. Carrara in Bergamo.
The three thematic axes — Historyscape/Futurscape, Uncontaminated/Urban, Scopic/Soundscape — articulated landscape across its historical, ecological and perceptual dimensions, each with a distinct but complementary approach.
