2. Lorem Ipsum

Lorem Ipsum is a meaningless text used since the sixteenth century as typographic filler. It is a sequence of words that imitates the structure of language without conveying any content - a form of writing that speaks, yet does not communicate. From this principle comes the piece, which revolves around the idea of evoking a memory - not a precise one, but the vague sensation of something that once was and can no longer be clearly defined.

The music seeks to express this absence: there is no melody, no harmony, only an undefined sonic matter made of timbres, breaths, and traces. At a certain point, however, brief fragments of melody and harmony appear - distorted, distant, almost unrecognizable. They resemble an image resurfacing in memory but unable to find its place. After a few moments they fade again, leaving space for emptiness, like a thought that stops before becoming a word.

The visual component, curated by Benedetta Carini, is inspired by the former psychiatric hospital of Bergamo as a symbol of isolation. The installation consists of suspended, semi-transparent fabrics on which the artist traces, directly on-site, the outlines of objects from the asylum - doors, windows, beds - distilled into essential signs. These traces evoke vanished presences and suspended memories, creating a walkable, silent, and disorienting space in which memory takes shape through absence.
