28. The Frog King

Marter -- The Frog King (2025) is an electroacoustic composition in quadriphony, structured in three movements. The first two movements, of a textural nature, feature dense textures and micro-variations evoking a swarm of gnats. The third, rhythmic and articulated, introduces tribal and percussive motifs. The sound material combines electronically generated sounds and recorded acoustic material, creating a complex interplay of timbres and distinct textures.
